Pearls of Wisdom

THE OM is an enthusiastic and passionate supporter of the Pearls of Wisdom initiative, initially started by Cherise Reedman in Autumn 2021 with a small event held in the New Forest to highlight the issues that disproportionately affect women in yachting. The event acted as a platform for women with current or former careers in the superyacht sector. Rapidly gaining traction and going on to a further two sell out events in The Shard in the spring and In Palma Mallorca in the autumn 2022, bringing together inspirational women, to discuss life beyond yachting, share experiences, wisdom and advice. Showcasing the diverse opportunities that are available and aiming to collaborate to focus on breaking the stereotypes of traditional roles and collaborate to promote mutual benefit.

“You want to be part of something that is bigger than yourself. This event brings people together without the expectation of anything but for us to serve, guide and celebrate them and that’s beautiful thing. imparting wisdom to powerful women is something we wish to excel in” Gemma Hulbert Founder, The Yacht Stew
