Business Development:

I work in a number of ways, I am an experienced business and strategic development specialist, having worked with a broad range of stakeholders to build on new market opportunities both in the superyacht sector and in marine technology; supporting them with innovative, collaborative solutions. I specialise in identifying business opportunities and potential and connecting those ideas with organisations and individuals that share a common thread and who through collaboration will excel. Providing them with ideas, concepts and solutions, creating strategies for market entry and maximum business benefit and building strong enduring partnerships.

Superyacht Training and Education Development

I work with Colleges, Universities and Training Providers to create and deliver training pathways for crew at all levels within the superyacht sector. From degree level HE courses content to bespoke professional development short courses.

I always look ahead at technical and human innovation and seek to design training and educationwith the aim of taking a new approach to educating and supporting crew, empowering them to drive growth, productivity, sustainability and owner experience with professional integrity. I currently am a voluntary steering group member with IAMI and the GUEST Program working towards creating modules to fill the skills gap between MCA CoC’s.

Professional Crew Career Mentor:

I have 20 years of experience helping crew find solutions to their career, business and sometimes personal challenges, finding pathways and resources to lead them to successful outcomes or enable them to find clarity and empowerment to act for themselves; not only in their current careers but forward onto life alongside and beyond yachting.

Professional Development:

I am a huge proponent of the need to keep learning and challenging ourselves throughout our lives. As superyacht crew it’s also vital to continue to progress your skill set over and beyond your Coc’s’ both for the benefit of your career and your own personal enrichment. I both write and develop professional development programmes and can advise on courses that work with your current work commitments.

Planning for the future – Life beyond Superyacht:

It can be difficult to see a future beyond your life in the yachting industry, understanding how to utilise your current skillset and where it might fit outside the confines of the industry is not always straightforward. It is never too early to be working towards a future goal, whether that is effective planning for a future career change, utilising your rotation time to study for further qualifications or travelling the world, or launching a business start-up concept and seeking advice on how to take your ideas to the next step.
